Transitions

A timing change can happen where two patterns share the same position. Reverse one hand at that point to enter the neighboring relationship.

From together same: top/bottom connect to together opposite; sides connect to split opposite. Split same connects to together opposite at the sides and split opposite at top/bottom.

Reference poster

The supplied poster pairs two-petal inspin and four-petal antispin, explores box and diamond orientations, and places transition relationships around the patterns.

Keep the timing of the hands separate from the relationship of the props. A hybrid can have same-direction hands while its shafts turn in opposite directions.

The poster is prop-general. Its petal labels must not be copied directly onto double-staff tip counts: each staff has two visible ends.
