Body tracing cranks
Combine a lower antibrid with an upper shoulder reel and isolation, then link the same pathway on both sides of the body.
Prerequisites: Basic antibrids

Use the source for this section’s grip changes, body position, and depth.
Schematic motion. Body proportions and finger contact are approximate; compare with the source. One cycle = 6 seconds at 1×.

Steps
Before you begin
- Grip
- Keep each hand near its staff center. Name the end beside the thumb the thumb end and the opposite end the pinkie end.
- Stance
- Begin upright with feet comfortably apart. Allow the torso to turn as a staff passes the side of the body. Hands just above the hips, about shoulder width apart, with horizontal overlapping staffs and thumb ends facing inward.
- Plane
- The lower reel passes in front of and behind the hip. The upper reel passes around the shoulder; its other staff isolates beside it. This needs depth as well as the front-view outline.
Things to notice
- Continuing antispin through the upper section misses the isolation variation taught here.
- Treating the vertical alignment as a purely flat crossing hides the shoulder reel’s behind-body path.
- Clockwise directions reverse in a mirrored front view; learn the hip and shoulder landmarks first.
